These
robust, “market leading” rescue training
dummies are realistic in size and weight.
Each rescue training dummy is produced using an inner and outer layer, the
flexible inner core is weighted to human proportions using 2-4 mm aggregate.
The outer layer of durable 15 oz Canvas, has all seams double stitched and
is reinforced with high density polypropylene webbing for improved abrasion
resistance in identified high stress areas. The two layers are then separated
and padded using 25mm fire retardant foam.
Flame Retardant Training Dummy
Constructed
as above but using heavy-duty flame retardant P.V.C. (conforms
to BS. 5867: Part 2:1980 Type B Performance Requirements).
Supplied complete with Kevlar/Nomex overall (fastens using flame retardant
Velcro) but not Wellingtons.
Water Rescue Training Dummy
Developed
in conjunction with the R.N.L.I and Greater Manchester Fire
Service - Water Incident Support Section, to facilitate water
borne rescues and to address waterside working issues.
Designed to simulate an unconscious casualty in water, the dummy will float
in a near vertical position with just the head and shoulders visible; they
are however supplied complete with overalls with integral pockets that enable
the user to add buoyancy if required, to alter the dummies position in the
water.
Construction is as per G.P dummies but using heavy-duty; nylon reinforced P.V.C
and closed cell foam.
A recent development has been the use of yellow P.V.C to signify the front
(face) of the dummy, with red P.V.C to the back, this simple modification allows
instructors to see from a distance that the rescuer is responding appropriately,
tipping the head back out of the water and recovering the casualty in the correct
manner.
